Live recency on departure boards

Station boards show when the next auto-refresh is due, a live pulse when data is fresh, and a manual Refresh control in the footer bar.

What changed

Every departure board footer now counts down to the next automatic refresh (for example “Refresh in 12 sec”), shows a live indicator right after each sync, and keeps a manual Refresh button. Hovering the countdown still reveals the upstream feed timestamp.

Why it matters

Passengers can see at a glance that the board is actively updating, and can pull the latest departures immediately without waiting for the automatic refresh interval.

Who benefits

Anyone watching a station board—especially during disruption when timings change quickly—and embed users who want confidence the iframe is still live.

Technical details

Boards refresh automatically on a fixed interval; the footer shows a countdown until the next refresh. After each sync a live indicator appears briefly. Manual Refresh reloads departures immediately. Hovering the countdown still reveals the upstream feed timestamp when available.
