UK route planner — National Rail and London Underground

Plan UK rail and Tube journeys at /plan: search any stop, see colour-coded legs, choose leave-now or arrive-by, and jump to live boards where you board.

What changed

StationView adds a UK route planner at /plan. Search National Rail stations and London Underground stops (Tube stops show a Tube badge in the picker). Pick leave now, depart at, or arrive by, and see journey options with train, Tube, walk, and bus legs where applicable. Each leg shows a colour-coded line or operator label so Jubilee, c2c, GWR, and other brands are easy to spot. Live board links appear only at the stops where you board a train or Tube — not on every step of the walk. Rail legs can link to live train tracking where available, and a Book tickets link appears when Trainline affiliate links are enabled.

Why it matters

Most journey planners stop at a list of times. StationView is built for the bit that comes next: knowing where to change, which line you are on, and opening the same live boards you already trust at the stops that matter — especially across London where a mainline leg and a Tube leg are common.

Who benefits

UK passengers planning station-to-station trips, London commuters and visitors mixing rail and the Underground, and anyone who wants a shareable route before they travel or needs to arrive by a fixed time.
