Route planner: use current location instead of saved places
Saved places are removed from the UK route planner. Outside London, tap Use current location to start from where you are — we pick the nearest boarding stop.
What changed
The route planner no longer offers saved places such as Home or Work. Instead, if you are outside central London — in Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire, or anywhere beyond the city — tap Use current location on the starting-from side and we find the best nearby boarding stop. London area quick picks remain for in-town starts.
Why it matters
Saved postcodes often failed to resolve to a useful stop. Your phone's location is more reliable for suburban and regional journeys, and one tap is faster than maintaining a list of named places.
Who benefits
Commuters and visitors starting outside London who want the right terminus without typing a postcode or station code.
