Faster shared journey links and smarter Swiss board caching
Shared /plan links load a lightweight page shell first, then fetch results in your browser. Swiss station pages skip live API calls for search crawlers on cold cache.
What changed
Opening a shared journey link at /plan now loads the planner shell immediately and fetches routes in the browser, so bookmarked and shared URLs no longer rebuild the full page on the server. Swiss station boards now follow the same crawler protection used in France and Germany—search bots that hit a station for the first time get an empty board instead of triggering a live data fetch.
Why it matters
Shared plan links stay fast under heavy traffic, and Swiss live data quotas are protected from bot crawls that would otherwise hammer thousands of unique station URLs.
Who benefits
Anyone sharing or bookmarking journey planner links, and passengers relying on Swiss station boards staying available during high-traffic periods.
